Amazon Prime Day, one of the biggest holidays of the year, is scheduled to take place in October. But if you can't wait until then to get your new earbuds, Staples has the cheapest AirPods of the year.

For a limited time, Staples is offering the Apple AirPods Pro for $199. That's $50 off and the best AirPods Pro sale we've seen this year. (Staples offered this price for a short time in July.) Amazon had them on sale for $219, and now they are on sale for $199 as well.

Of the two earbuds, we recommend the AirPods Pro. They are the best wireless earbuds we have reviewed and probably won't hit this price point until the holiday season.

The AirPods Pro have a redesigned, compact form factor with three built-in microphones and six sensors. They also feature Apple's H1 chip, which allows them to instantly connect to an iPhone or MacBook.

As noted in our review of the AirPods Pro, we like its noise-canceling performance, waterproofing, and Transparency mode, which allows you to hear the sounds around you even when noise cancellation is on. I have been using these buds for just about everything since they were released. Whether I'm running errands or sprinting on the track, these buds sound great and stay put. I used to own a Jabra Elite Active 65t, but this bud was constantly falling out while running; the AirPods Pro are my go-to workout earbuds and my daily-use buds.

Both AirPods deals run through September 19, but I suspect they will sell out quickly, so get them while you can.
