Sony just confirmed the bad news for this big PS5 game

With the imminent launch of the PS5, "Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales" is also on its way. This launch title follows Miles as he travels the city as everyone's favorite web-slinging hero. In addition, the purchase of the PS5 version of Miles Morales will also include a special offer that includes Marvel's Spider-Man: Remastered, an enhanced version of the PS4 version of Marvel's Spider-Man.

Already only have "Marvel's Spider-Man" on your current PS4? There is no way to upgrade to the remastered version for free.

Sony released an official statement to Kotaku saying that players who purchased "Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales" on PlayStation 4 can upgrade to the PS5 version at no additional cost. At that time, a paid upgrade to download "Marvel's Spider-Man: Remastered" will also be available. However, there are "currently no plans" to offer the remastered version as a standalone update for existing players.

While the PS4 version of "Marvel's Spider-Man" is not incompatible with the upcoming console, that version will not have the same features as the remastered version. Sony is encouraging buyers to bring back the Miles Morales version of "Spider-Man: Remastered Edition" if they want to get it. Getting a remastered version of a game you already own could cost a significant amount of extra money.

Both PS5 models are currently scheduled to be released on November 12 in North America and select regions, and November 19 in other regions; the PS5 will cost $499 and the digital version $399.

In addition to Spider-Man, other titles include a remake of Demon's Souls, Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, " Astro's Playroom," "Fortnite," and "Destruction All Stars. In addition, there are a number of titles scheduled for release in the near future. Final Fantasy XVI, the latest in the long-running role-playing game series, is currently in development as a console exclusive. A sequel to "God of War," released in 2018, is also expected to be released soon.

While there will be plenty to play in the coming months, it appears that some players will pay a little more to experience some of these games, even though they already own them.
