OnePlus Nord N10 5G Looks Imminent - here's the proof

Earlier this year, OnePlus returned to the mid-range, launching a handset that returned to its roots of offering premium smartphones at affordable prices. [The OnePlus Nord proved popular but was never released in the U.S.

. However, the Nord was the first of a series of new low-cost smartphones, and the next one may be here sooner than you think.

We have been hearing about the second Nord device, the OnePlus Nord N10 5G, for quite some time, and leaked information suggested it would be in the US market at launch; according to Twitter leaker @stufflistings, the Nord N10 expected to be available by the end of the month, along with what is being called the Nord N100.

It is interesting to hear that the N100 will be released so soon, as we know very little about the N100. We know it is coming, but Twitter leaker Evan Blass revealed that OnePlus had posted a page about the N100, N10 5G, and something known only by the code "SS9805". Oddly enough, the rumor mill has been surprisingly silent on other details.

The N10 5G is another story. Rumors and leaks conjure up images of a phone similar to the original OnePlus Nord, but with some hardware differences. These include a slightly larger 6.49" AMOLED display with the same FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate as the original, and a Snapdragon 690 chipset with 6GM of RAM. This is a noticeable downgrade from the Snapdragon 790 and 8/12GB of RAM offered in the original Nord. [As for the camera, the N10 5G is rumored to feature a quad-lens rear camera system consisting of an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, two 2MP auxiliary sensors, and an upgraded 64MP main camera. We don't know anything about the front, but expect OnePlus to stick with the dual-camera system we saw on the Nord. And all for under $400.

Hopefully we'll learn more about the launch plans for both the N10 5G and N100 when OnePlus announces the OnePlus 8T series on October 14.
