But if you want the very best value on the new Galaxy S20 model, you won't find it on Amazon. Instead, I would head to Verizon.

Big Red is also offering the Galaxy S20 Plus at a discount, provided you open a new line with the carrier. However, if you add a new line with Verizon and purchase the Galaxy S20 Plus, you save $400 on a device that normally costs $1,199. In other words, if the billing credit is applied over 24 months, you would end up paying $799.

In contrast to Amazon's Prime Day sale, there are many discounts on Samsung phones as well as flagships. However, the Galaxy S20 Plus has received a pretty fantastic price cut on Amazon, selling for $899. That's a $300 savings, which is nothing to scoff at, but I remember enough math from my school days to know that $400 is more money than $300.

Of course, there is the fact that you can bring the Galaxy S20 Plus to any carrier and get this discount immediately if you buy it through the Amazon deal. Still, if you choose Verizon as your carrier (which you should, since we rate Verizon as the best cellular carrier), you can get big savings; Verizon's additional information indicates that when you open a second line, the second You can get $700 wit credit for a Galaxy S20 Plus or save up to $550 when you trade in your current phone.

I wrote a review of the Galaxy S20 Plus for Tom's Guide, so I may be biased, but I think it's the best of the new flagships Samsung has released this spring. it doesn't have the staggering price tag of the Galaxy S20 Ultra, but it's still It has plenty of top-class features, including a large 6.7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate; the 64MP telephoto lens is impressive, and the S20 Plus works on any 5G network, including Verizon's high-speed ultra-wideband communications.

That said, if you like Samsung's other Galaxy S20 models, Amazon's Prime Day deals will be tempting. The Galaxy S20, like the Galaxy S20 Ultra, is currently $250 off at Amazon.
