Samsung Galaxy S21 has the biggest missing feature of iPhone12

It appears that Samsung will bundle the Galaxy S21 with something that the newly unveiled iPhone 12 does not: a charger.

A mocking image was posted on Samsung's Caribbean Facebook page with the caption that one of its phones "gives you what you're looking for. From the most basic of chargers."

This does not necessarily guarantee that the Galaxy S21 and other 2021 Samsung phones will all get charging blocks. However, it would look bad for Samsung if Samsung decided to take away the charger. It would also not be without precedent, given that Apple began its trend of eliminating the headphone jack after launching the iPhone 7. Samsung scoffed at such a decision by Apple and eliminated the headphone jack starting with the 2019 Galaxy Note 10.

Apple's removal of the charger and wired EarPods from the phone's packaging was based on the number of users who already have such accessories and a desire to prevent electronic waste. To get the most out of the new iPhone, a 20W charger is required, which is sold separately for $19/£19.

Also, the cable included in the iPhone 12 box has a USB-C connector; with the exception of the 18W fast charger sold with the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, all existing iPhone chargers use a USB-A connector. So you will need to use the old cable or purchase a new charger anyway.

But it's not all good news for Samsung. iPhone 12 has exciting features such as improved cameras, a tough Ceramic Shield display, 5G connectivity, and new sizes, and many more exciting features yet to come.

Previous leaks have revealed that we should not expect an upgraded charging block for the Galaxy S21. In other words, the basic model is 25W, but the S21 Ultra is 45W.

The Galaxy S21 is expected to arrive next February. Meanwhile, pre-orders for the two 6.1-inch iPhone 12 models begin today, and the smaller and larger versions will be available in November.
