Apple announced its new iPhone 12 lineup a week ago, but few people outside of Apple's headquarters had seen the new devices outside of Apple's launch video But that is beginning to change as the first iPhone 12 models are starting to reach customers and they have begun sharing photos and videos of the devices
Videos of the iPhone 12 unboxing have begun to appear online ahead of the official launch date of October 23 A few images posted by people who got their hands on the iPhone 12 model early have given us a new lesson in what to expect from Apple's new model
Twitter user Duan Rui shared a clip of a graphite iPhone 12 Pro in his unboxing video, revealing some changes in Apple's packing procedures The new iPhone, as already known, features the angular edges of past iPhone models The stainless steel design is clean but unobtrusive, and the screen is covered by a paper screen protector Typically, Apple has used plastic protectors for the past several years
Apple has also significantly downsized its packaging for this new phone The latest line does not come with wired EarPods or charging blocks, which means less space in the box overall As you can see in the blue iPhone 12 opening video, the box is very slim and wraps around the entire phone When the box is first opened, there is very little extra space with the phone on display
These initial looks at the iPhone 12 pre-order are, of course, intriguing for all these reasons But most importantly, it is helpful for prospective buyers to have some idea of what the phone will look like in real-life situations and outside of a stylized Apple launch video to help them decide whether to purchase
But buyers won't have to wait that long to get their hands on the new phones iPhone 12 pre-orders are already available, and the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro will be in stores this Friday iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max will be available next month next month
Apple has now released four new models, with the iPhone 12 mini/iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro/iPhone 12 Pro Max available in a variety of colors for each mode All iPhone 12 versions include 5G, the A14 Bionic processor, and the flat edge design of past phones There is also a special Ceramic Shield glass display that protects the screen from smudges and scratches
If you're still on the fence about whether you want to get one of the new phones, these first unboxings will likely end up swaying you one way or the other
