Amazing Early Black Friday Deals: Ring Video Doorbell 3 Just Hit the Lowest Price Ever

This Black Friday, you're likely to have packages filled with new purchases arriving at your door. To greet those deliveries, you might want a smart doorbell, and Amazon's latest promotion offers the Ring Video Doorbell 3 for $139.99.

This price is a $60 discount off the list price and is also the lowest price we have seen so far. In addition, the more advanced Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus is available for $159.99, a $70 discount from the MSRP of $229.99. The Echo Show 5, an Alexa-enabled smart speaker with built-in display, can also be an excellent smart home starter kit for just $10 extra on either doorbell.

Ring Video Doorbell 3 provides camera coverage of the door at any time of day or night to see who is approaching, and since Ring is an Amazon Group brand, it works well with other smart home kits.

The Ring app displays a camera feed, but also has customization options. This includes features like Motion Zones, which allows you to flag which areas to prioritize, which is useful if you live on a busy street. It can also be further narrowed down so that you only receive notifications on your phone if it detects a person approaching, rather than receiving a notification every time there is movement by the door.

The biggest new feature in Video Doorbell 3 is "pre-roll," which shows a short video clip before each motion event to give more context. However, there is an additional $20 fee to view full color and resolution video in the Plus version.

To take full advantage of Doorbell, one must sign up for Ring's subscription service. This subscription service costs $3 per month or $30 per year for a single doorbell and allows 60 days of video recorded by the doorbell to be stored in cloud storage. Meanwhile, for $10/month or $100/year, one can receive support for an unlimited number of doorbells or other Ring products.
