iPhone12 has a killer Secret button — here's how to use it

Apple has brought a list of new improvements to iOS 14, but one new feature is completely underway and it could completely change the way you use your iPhone.

The iPhone 12 and other iPhones with iOS 14 have a new button. These are not physical buttons, but rather clever implementations of the iPhone's internal sensors that give the iPhone its functionality.

In the accessibility settings, users can enable back-tap. As the name implies, users can double-tap the back to launch apps and other software features (App Switcher, Notification Menu, Siri, Instant Screenshot, Maps, etc.).

It is also possible to add the ability to triple-tap to launch everything from Control Center to Spotlight and even Mute. The cool thing is that the back-tap feature works even when the phone is turned off or when using other apps.

As mentioned above, any iPhone with iOS 14 can use backtap. iOS 14 compatible phones include iPhone line 11, XS, XR, X, 8, 7, 6s, SE (1st and 2nd generation), and iPod touch (7th generation).

For those who have not yet upgraded to iOS 14, it will be worth the upgrade as it is one of the most dramatic operating system upgrades to date. New features include widgets, an App library, Messages enhancements, Translate, and more.

Apple announced iOS 14 at the same time as the new iPhone 12. While it still lacks some of the features found on top-of-the-line Android phones, it brings enough enhancements to make it a worthy upgrade for those using older devices. Just don't forget to purchase a new charger for fast charging.
