Forget the OnePlus Nord N10 - The OnePlus Nord2 will appear next year

OnePlus is going all out with its low-cost Nord series, with three different models already having appeared in the past few months. Now, new leaked information has revealed that a fourth model is on the way.

The successor to the original OnePlus Nord is on the way, and the latest leaks reveal what kind of hardware we can expect in the OnePlus Nord 2.

We have already heard about the upgraded OnePlus Nord, which is supposedly coming as the OnePlus Nord SE, but this could be another phone. According to the latest rumors, the Nord SE is being developed under the codename "Ebba" and the OnePlus Nord to is being developed under the codename "Denniz." In other words, it appears that OnePlus continues to plan to release multiple Nord phones in the near future.

This information comes from MySmartPrice, which expects the Nord 2 to feature a Qualcomm 775 series chipset and a high refresh rate OLED display. It is also said to run Android 11 right out of the box, like the OnePlus 8T.

Interestingly, MySmartPrice claims that the OnePlus Nord 2 will only have 30W of charging, but we have already heard that the Nord SE will have the same 65W charging as the OnePlus 8T. It is not clear why the sequel phone will not feature a faster charging standard. And we wonder which model will be the true successor to the original Nord.

After all, one of them is likely to be the successor to the Nord N10 5G, which was released last month. The original Nord never made it to the US, and its successor may not either. Therefore, there could be an upgraded version of the N10 with slightly lower specs, but it is not clear which model.

Slower 30W charging makes the OnePlus Nord 2 the most obvious candidate, but we don't really know. We are told that the OnePlus Nord SE is also set to feature an OLED display, along with a 4,500 mAh battery upgraded from both the Nord and N10. Beyond that, who knows.

According to leaks, both phones are set to launch sometime next year, and no doubt we will hear more in the coming months should the situation become a bit more clear.
