The Cyber Monday shopping season continues, with the new MacBook Air with Apple Silicon, temporarily discounted by $100 on Black Friday, being discounted again on Cyber Monday at another retailer.

Right now, the new MacBook Air M1 is on sale at Adorama for $899. Such deep discounts on Apple products are rare, and even more so on a product that was released just two weeks ago. Without a doubt, this is one of the best Cyber Monday MacBook sales we've seen.

Along with the new MacBook Pro, the MacBook Air M1 is the first laptop to feature Apple's M1 CPU. And surprisingly, as we wrote in our MacBook Air M1 review, for an entry-level Air line it performed more like a "Pro" machine than before.

It scored 5,962 points in the Geekbench 5.1 (Intel) multi-core test, which was essentially a dead heat with the 5,925 points achieved by the M1 MacBook Pro. The new Air also significantly outperformed the Asus ZenBook 13's 5,084 and the Dell XPS 13's 5,319 (both tested with Intel Core i7-1165G7 CPU and 16GB RAM) in the equivalent Geekbench 5.2 test.

As for battery life, the new Air recorded an impressive 14 hours and 41 minutes. This is utterly overwhelming the competition and rivals the highly touted claims made by Apple when it was first announced.

Apple products are seldom reduced in price, and it is unlikely that prices will drop any further anytime soon. If you're in the market for Apple's latest and greatest technology, be sure to add it to your basket before Cyber Monday ends.
