Can't buy Xbox Series X? You can now get a pass deal for this game for11

If you thought you were shut out of next-generation gaming this Christmas because you couldn't get an Xbox Series X at launch, think again, Xbox is offering three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on the Microsoft Store for $1 for a limited time! The company has decided to offer three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on the Microsoft Store for $1.00 for a limited time.

If you were lucky enough to get an Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S, this is a great follow-up purchase. However, with the Ultimate tier, you can also play the games on your PC or mobile device via xCloud, so even if you don't have a new Xbox, or even an older Xbox One, you can still benefit from this deal.

Paying $1 for this promotion will get you three months of Game Pass Ultimate, saving you $44 per month instead of the usual $15 per month. A selling point of the Game Pass is the more than 100 downloadable games that are updated regularly. It also provides access from day one to major Xbox exclusives such as "Halo Infinite," "Gears of War," and the next "Forza" game.

Game Pass Ultimate also includes all the benefits of an Xbox Live Gold subscription, including access to online multiplayer, free games every month, and special discounts at the Xbox Store.

There is a caveat to this deal. In the announcement article, Microsoft states that this deal is a limited time offer starting today (December 3), which is annoyingly vague, but suggests that this could be a December-only offer. Also, to actually access this offer from the Microsoft Store, you must be a new user and owner of a Microsoft account; rather than a gift to Xbox fans, it seems more likely to be a gift to yourself.
