AirPods Pro 2 is on the way, and it is possible that Apple will release two different sized models. This is according to Mr-White on Twitter, but it should be remembered that this leaker has a very complicated track record.

As 9to5Mac discovered, Mr-White has released what appears to be an image of prototype AirPods Pro 2 hardware. In the tweet, he writes that the AirPods Pro 2 will come in two sizes and may use the W2 chip.

When another Twitter user asked if the AirPods Pro 2 would come in black, Mr-White replied, "maybe AirPods Not suitable for black." Other wireless earbuds have multiple color options, including Samsung's Galaxy Buds Live, so hopefully this doesn't close that possibility.

What is not clear from the Mr-White leak is why Apple would offer the AirPods Pro 2 in two different sizes. The current AirPods Pro comes with three different sizes of ear tips and a fit test is available to help users get the best fit.

According to a previous Bloomberg report, Apple is working on a new compact design for the AirPods Pro 2. Instead, the earbuds will have a more rounded shape that fills the user's ear more, and noise-canceling performance is expected to be further improved.

The report cautions, however, that this design is only in the testing phase and Apple may opt for a less ambitious look. This is due to the complexity involved in integrating all the technologies Apple wishes to use into a more compact form factor.

Another information leaked from LeaksApplePro in October said that the AirPods Pro 2 will offer better battery life and slightly improved noise cancellation, along with an ambient light sensor to help measure heart rate. In its tweet, the company said the new earbuds will be available in Q4 2021 or Q1 2022.

We also hear that the AirPods Pro 2 will feature a more advanced transparency mode that will alert users of incoming danger. We can also expect the earbuds to support AirTags and UWB so that users can more easily find the AirPods Pro 2 if they misplace it.

Apple is also reportedly working on new AirPods 3, which will be designed like the AirPods Pro minus the noise cancellation. And rumor has it that these earbuds will appear before the AirPods Pro 2.
