Xbox Series X Controller can get PS5DualSense feature — here we know

Microsoft has launched a console experience survey to see if Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S owners might want any of the PS5's DualSense features on their Xbox controllers.

Do you secretly wish the Xbox Series controllers were similar to the acclaimed PlayStation's DualSense? Microsoft wants your input, and anyone who has purchased an Xbox Series X and S console can answer a few questions about the PS5 DualSense controller and some of its exciting features.

One of the statements in the survey reads: "Know of a feature on the PlayStation controller that you wish was on the controller that came with this console, on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being "strongly disagree" and 5 being "strongly agree."

Xbox owners have the Response options.

The survey also asks a number of other questions related to the Xbox series, including the quality of the console (especially whether it feels "next-gen-like" enough), the customizability of settings, and how it compares to other consoles on the market.

Since the PS5's long-awaited launch in November 2020, the PlayStation's dual-sense controller has been widely praised in the industry for many reasons, including its built-in speakers, tactile feedback, and adaptive triggers.

We previously reported that DualSense offers an innovative haptic gaming experience unmatched by any other controller on the market. For example, in games like Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War, DualSense adjusts trigger resistance to mimic realistic recoil and gun kickback, giving players a unique experience with the various weapons in the game.

For those unfamiliar with DualSense's adaptive trigger feature, Reddit user u/Niza_Zombie_King's video is a good example:

According to Microsoft's research, a powerful DualSense counterpart controller, a new or updated controller for the Xbox series may be on the horizon. Is it possible that a controller that combines the best of both worlds will be introduced? Or at least an Xbox controller that doesn't use AA batteries (please, Microsoft...) .
