Amazfit, the brand behind several highly functional and affordable fitness wearables, has added two models to its lineup: the Amazfit GTR 2e and the Amazfit GTS 2e, announced at the 2021 CES, will be available on January 12 for $139.99 Smartwatch. [The circular GTR 2e is reminiscent of the Amazfit GTR 2, while the rectangular GTS 2e is more similar to the iconic Apple Watch. The former has a rotatable 1.65-inch HD AMOLED screen, while the latter is smaller at 1.39 inches.

The differences end there. On paper, the two wearables are competitive in terms of features. Normally, we would have gone hands-on with the smartwatches announced during CES, but Amazfit kindly provided us with key specs of the GT2 and GTS 2e based on a virtual version of the show.

The Amazfit GTR and GTS 2e feature the company's wellness features, including 24/7 heart rate monitoring and the PAI™ health rating system that assigns users a health score based on comprehensive health data. SpO2 monitoring, the centerpiece of the Apple Watch Series 6 upgrade, is also included in both models, highlighting real-time respiratory health status.

When active, users can benefit from 90 built-in sports modes, while the GTR and GTS 2e feature sleep quality monitoring, a feature that has been popular in previous Amazfit models. The new models also include stress monitoring, rivaling Fitbit Sense in the wearables market, which helps users understand and manage the causes of stress.

As smartwatch tools, the Amazfit GTR and GTS 2e offer notifications, reminders, timers, and an improved haptic system; since few companies have been able to achieve haptics as smooth as the Apple Watch, Amazfit's new technology is It will be interesting to see what Amazfit achieves.

Another claim we need to test is the 45-day battery life of the Amazfit GTR and GTS 2e. Some activities and display settings will cut into this impressive stamina, but Amazfit is generally good at making long-lasting smartwatches.
