Harry Potter fans will have to wait until 2022 for the Hogwarts Legacy

Bad news for Harry Potter fans eagerly awaiting the upcoming video game "Hogwarts Legacy." According to the game's official Twitter account, the title has been pushed back to 2022.

According to the Twitter post, "We want to thank fans around the world for the tremendous response to the announcement of 'Hogwarts Legacy' from our Portkey Games label. We are giving the game the time it needs because it is most important to us to provide the best possible experience for the Wizarding World and our gaming fans."

The company also stated.

"Hogwarts Legacy," which was first unveiled at the PS5 Showchase event last September, is set in the 1800s and features a new story with new characters. The game is being developed by Avalanche Software, the company behind licensed games such as "Disney Infinity," "Cars 2," and "Toy Story 3."

Avalanche Software is also known for the original series "Tak and the Power of Juju" released on the 6th generation consoles. By all appearances, "Hogwarts Legacy" is the studio's most ambitious title to date.

Not many details about the gameplay have been revealed yet, except that it is an RPG. As such, we will likely be making character classes, potions, and following the story of either good or evil.

While the increased wait may be painful, it is good to see all of the Harry Potter films on HBO Max.
