This is part of the 2021 Pro Bowl, which will not be a traditional game; NFL Pro Bowl Verzuz has Deshaun Watson, Jamal Adams, Budda Baker, DeAndre Hopkins, Jalen Ramsey and Cameron Jordan, Myles Garrett, but more are expected to join the list of announced players.

The first night of Verzuz action at the NFL Pro Bowl is headlined by a pair of wide receivers: the Minnesota Vikings' Justin Jefferson and the Tennessee Titans' A.J. Brown.

The series, hosted by NFL Hall of Famers Deion Sanders and MJ Acosta-Lewis, is more than just a look at what players did on the field. The competition will consist of "several fun categories that showcase their talents on and off the field."

For those unfamiliar with Verzuz, these shows are informal competitions between artists, in this case athletes. Each player shows a clip from his or her reel, followed by another player who volleys back and forth like a tennis match. The public then decides (in the comments and on social media) who wins.

Verzuz has gained great popularity, and Swizz Beatz (co-creator of the event) announced that the last battle (Gucci Mane vs. Jeezy) broke the "all-time record for live stream viewership" with 9.1 million streamers watching. This is a huge multiple of the most popular Verzuz before it, which topped the estimated 1.2 million viewers for Brandi vs. Monica.

Competitors chat during the festivities, and so far it has been a friendly yet competitive and enjoyable evening of spectating.
