iPhone13 rendering reveals a stunning design with a smaller notch

The rumored iPhone 13's best features are on full display in this stunning design However, iPhone 13 may not actually be the real name of the next iPhone

The renderings above were created by Jermaine "Concept Creator" Smit and published by LetsGoDigital Pro" designs were created based on the current iPhone 12 line and recent rumored changes

This concept assumes that this year's new iPhones will only be minor upgrades compared to the current iPhone 12 It has been rumored several times due to the supposed development difficulties Apple is facing due to the pandemic Smit also rendered the following video

As a result, Smit titled this design "iPhone 12S" instead of iPhone 13 By doing so, Apple avoids the number "13," which is widely seen as an ominous number in the US and UK, and also more accurately represents how much has changed since last year

The major change in appearance can be seen immediately in the notches It is much shorter than those seen on all other notched iPhones to date Rumor has it that this size reduction is thanks to a repositioning of the speaker grille and a new combination of an infrared projector/sensor This allows the new iPhone to better compete with Android rivals that use smaller punch-hole camera notches, such as the new Samsung Galaxy S21

The display itself is expected to be an LTPO panel with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz; LTPO screens dynamically change refresh rates depending on what the user is doing, saving battery power whenever possible Samsung's Galaxy S21 Ultra uses the same type of panel and reviews praised this feature Apple would be wise to adopt it for its next iPhone

According to Smit, there is a Touch ID sensor under this display Apple has yet to add an under-screen fingerprint sensor to its devices and has not used Touch ID on its flagship iPhones since the iPhone 8 in 2017 Analysts give credence to this idea, even though Face ID is still assumed to remain

On the back, a better ultrawide camera and LiDAR scanner are expected to return; LiDAR, which was featured on the Pro model of the iPhone 12, could be found on all iPhone models this year

The 2021 iPhone is assumed to have the same battery capacity and wired/wireless charging speed as the iPhone 12 However, with a more efficient display and 5G modem components, the iPhone may have a longer battery life anyway

Unfortunately, no EarPods or charging blocks are expected to be included Apple stated at the time of the iPhone 12 launch that all future devices will discontinue these accessories The iPhone 13 will be no exception, especially given the lack of a Lightning port and rumors that it will only support wireless charging

We speculate that this year's iPhones will be released around September iPhone 12 was released in two phases during October, but September is a typical launch time for Apple's new iPhones
