According to a now-deleted listing on the Candadian Best Buy site discovered by ZatzNotFunny, Amazon-owned Ring is working on an all-new Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2.

A cached version of the page still exists and gives a good idea of what to expect from this sequel. While the design appears to be familiar, Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 has some significant improvements listed in the specification.

The main reason to upgrade is the improved quality of the video stream, jumping from 1080p on the original model to 1536p on the new model. This may sound like a slightly odd number until you read the description.

This is very useful. Anyone who has ever installed a video doorbell knows that it is not at all easy to get the whole picture, and being able to see the ground on which packages are or are not being placed is especially useful in a world that relies on delivery more than ever.

The rest of the list will sound familiar to anyone who has browsed Ring's product listings before. Its meaning is not explained, but it suggests that Ring may introduce a touchless doorbell feature, allowing the device to determine if someone is standing in front of the door and give advance warning that someone will appear at the door.

It also supports Alexa greetings, a feature introduced earlier this week in the current Ring Video Doorbell Pro. as long as you subscribe to Ring Protect ($3/month or $30/year), Alexa will receive messages and deliveries with packages Alexa can receive messages and give instructions to the delivery driver with the package.

Prior to its removal, Best Buy listed the Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 at CA$325 (converted to about $250). The release date was March 31, 2021, and while this is very likely accurate, it is best to take it with a pinch of salt, as retailers often list placeholder dates on their listings until the manufacturer provides official confirmation.

That said, Ring's last big release, Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus, was first available on April 8, 2020.
