Yes, $699 for a Chromebook is ridiculous. But the Galaxy Chromebook is not your typical Celeron-powered Chromebook. This 2-in-1 has a 13.3" 4K screen, a Core i5-10210U CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD.

More importantly, this laptop performs well. Really good. In our review of the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook, we liked its very vivid 4K display. This is not that surprising, as Samsung screens tend to be very saturated. On the other hand, the Core i5-10210U CPU and 8GB of RAM topped all of our tests; even using split-screen mode with a 1080p YouTube video and 12 Chrome tabs open, there was zero stutter. We even stacked two 1080p YouTube videos on top of each other and could hear each video play over the other without any lag.

What was inadequate was the battery life: 5 hours and 55 minutes on a single charge, so you'll need to carry a charger with you when you're out and about. Other than that, this is a killer machine with killer looks.
